Reception Find Their Rhythm with What the Ladybird Heard
Reception have had a wonderful week basing their learning around the much-loved story What the Ladybird Heard. The children have been working hard to build their confidence in identifying rhyming words and have enjoyed creating their own rhyming patterns inspired by the story.
They have also demonstrated fantastic knowledge of farm animals, confidently recognising and talking about the different animals featured in the book. To bring their learning together, the children have been creating a wonderful class collage inspired by the final page of the story. Using a range of skills including painting, drawing, writing and sticking, they have worked together to create a colourful and imaginative piece of artwork.
We are looking forward to seeing the finished collage on display in Pre-Prep and sharing their fantastic work with the wider school community. Well done, Reception!
