Year 2 Light Up Their Science
Year 2 have been exploring the fascinating world of electricity in Science this week, putting their problem-solving skills to the test with a hands-on challenge.
The children were given a simple but exciting task: could they make a light bulb light up? Working in pairs, they were provided with a bulb, wires and a battery and had to work out how to connect the equipment to create a complete circuit.
There was fantastic concentration and teamwork throughout the lesson as the children experimented with different ideas, learned from their mistakes and listened carefully to their partner’s suggestions. It was wonderful to see them persevering when things didn’t work straight away and celebrating when they finally completed a successful circuit.
A brilliant example of curiosity, collaboration and learning through experimentation. Well done Year 2!
