Year 3 Crack Cases and Number Lines
This week, 3D have been putting their detective skills to the test during Form Time, stepping into the role of super sleuths as they worked together to solve a series of mysteries. The children examined clues, shared ideas, used their imaginations and pieced together the evidence to work out what might have happened. There was plenty of enthusiastic teamwork and discussion and the opportunity to wear a fake moustache was certainly a highlight!
In Maths, the children have been developing their understanding of number lines up to 1,000. To make their learning more visual and hands-on, they created large number lines directly on their tables using whiteboard pens. Working together, they explored where different numbers belonged and used their number lines to strengthen their understanding of number and place value.
The children were particularly delighted by one very important discovery: writing on the tables was actually allowed! It certainly made for an exciting Maths lesson! 3D have shown fantastic enthusiasm, curiosity and teamwork throughout the week.
