King's Hawford
16 October
A Morning of Celebration
Our weekly celebration assembly began with a wonderful trumpet performance from Year 4, and we were delighted to welcome many of their families along to watch. The children have had six lessons so far, making outstanding progress in that short space of time.
Their performance started with Hot Cross Buns, followed by Clair de la Lune, then a wonderful rendition of the Bee Gees classic, Staying Alive, finishing with crowd favourite, We Will Rock You – featuring fantastic audience participation!
Georgia, Alice and Fearne then played an impressive version of Lord of the Dance on the violins.
The exciting assembly continued as Charlie P-W read his incredible persuasive writing piece about why someone should join the ‘best school in the world’ – King’s Hawford of course!
We enjoyed singing ‘Go Tell it on the Mountain’ and were grateful to Isaac for reading the prayer.
We finished with a very exciting announcement about House points, where Mr Butt revealed Clent are now in the lead by 101 points!
