A Tasty Fairytale Adventure in Reception
This week, Reception have been enjoying the story of Little Red Riding Hood as part of their Fairytales topic. Bringing the story to life, the children decided to make their own sandwiches to take to Granny.
Following instructions independently, the children carefully made their own jam sandwiches, showing great confidence and developing important skills such as spreading and even cutting. It was wonderful to see their growing independence and pride in completing each step of the process.
The children then had the opportunity to share their delicious creations with special guests at the Mother’s Day tea on Wednesday afternoon, making the experience even more meaningful. To finish, they recorded their sandwich-making process so they could remember and recreate it in the future.
Well done, Reception, for your fantastic effort and enthusiasm!
