A Wonderful Informal Concert to End the Week

After a busy week of learning, sports fixtures, music and dance rehearsals, not to mention the excitement of World Book Day we were all grateful for the opportunity to relax in our beautiful chapel while listening to some lovely music at our Informal Concert

What a fabulous event this was, with over twenty children aged 5 to 11 taking part, performing pieces they have been preparing with their music teachers. The audience were treated to a wide variety of styles, from ‘Flowers’ (Akshay and Archie – Y4), to ‘Castle on a Cloud’ (Savannah – Y5), ‘Oompa Loompa’ (Barney – Y2) and ‘Turkish Rondo’ (Max- Y5), there was plenty to keep everyone entertained.

A special mention goes to Max M for his first singing performance, Harvey for his first solo performance, and Lakshmi for taking part in her first Informal Concert performance. Each of them showed great courage and commitment in stepping onto the stage, and they should feel incredibly proud of their achievements.

As the year progresses, it is lovely to see all our young performers grow in confidence while developing as musicians. They had all clearly worked incredibly hard to prepare and the concert was a real feast for our ears.

What a great way to end the week. Well done everyone!
