An Action-Packed Start for Year 4
It has been a wonderfully busy and exciting week for Year 4 as they settled into their new class routines. The children have enjoyed getting to know their Form Teacher, Miss Jordan, who has already brought plenty of fun and energy to the start of term. In fact, she even joined the children on the adventure playground, much to their delight!
Back in the classroom, Year 4 have thrown themselves into their learning with great enthusiasm. In maths, they have been sharpening their skills and challenging themselves with new problems. Meanwhile, in English, the class had a particularly memorable lesson when they met “Verb Man”! After drawing around one of their classmates, the children were encouraged to think of as many action words as possible that linked to different parts of the body, verbs for jumping, running, waving, clapping, and even wiggling! The activity not only sparked lots of laughter but also helped the children deepen their understanding of verbs in a creative and memorable way.
It has been a brilliant start to the term for Year 4, full of energy, learning, and plenty of smiles.
