Apache Relay Sees House Spirit Shine
The much-anticipated Apache Relay was back with a bang on Tuesday afternoon, as all children in Years 3 to 6 came together to battle it out in 32 events across the whole school site.
The popular annual event saw the houses compete against each other in events based on the sports learned this year, carrying a baton from one event and passing it on to their team mate at the next activity, before making their way to ‘house base’.
This year’s events included swimming, running, high jump, football, long jump, tennis, hockey, javelin, rounders, cricket, trampolining and much more!
The first house to cross the finish line after the final event was declared the winner – and this year Malvern took the title! In second place was Kinver, third was Clent and fourth was Bredon.
The Apache Relay is always a fantastic way to bring the school year to a close, giving every child the opportunity to shine and encouraging a terrific atmosphere of camaraderie and school spirit.
Despite the extremely hot conditions, event was brilliantly planned and run by staff who ensured that all pupils knew what event they were doing and where to take the baton to once completed.
Congratulations to everyone who took part and demonstrated great enthusiasm and determination throughout.
