Autumn Adventures in Pre-Prep
Our Pre-Prep children took their learning outdoors for a wonderful autumn-themed morning inspired by the delightful story The Leaf Thief. The air was crisp, the leaves were crunchy underfoot, and the excitement was contagious as the children embraced every opportunity to explore, play, and create.
The outdoor area was buzzing with imagination and discovery. Children experimented with conkers, rolling them down shoots, counting them and even sending them on exciting journeys alongside their toy pigs! There were giggles galore as the pigs’ “homes” were carefully built from natural materials, complete with tiny stick fences and leafy roofs.
Over in the mud kitchen, the budding chefs got busy mixing, stirring, and “cooking up” all sorts of muddy delights, from leaf soup to conker cupcakes! Meanwhile, others took on a storytelling challenge, using story discs to create their very own autumn tales, filled with adventure, animals and plenty of laughter.
The morning was a wonderful celebration of creativity, teamwork and curiosity, all set against the beautiful backdrop of our outdoor classroom. What a perfect way to learn, play and welcome the season of Autumn!
