Celebrating a strong start to the year
It was wonderful to gather the whole school community together in the Pre-Prep Hall for our very first Celebration Assembly of the academic year. There was plenty to celebrate, despite having only been back at school for three days.
Reception
Reception have settled in really well to school. They have enjoyed playing with the Playdough, Happy Land, painting a picture of themselves and eating chocolate cake to celebrate Nathaniel’s birthday!
1C
Year 1 have made an excellent start to the term. They have impressed us with their super focus, lovely manners and great listening. They have been enthusiastic and ready to learn and they have enjoyed being back with their friends. Well done, Year 1!

Year 3 have made a fantastic start to their time in the Prep School. Second day in, they received four gems in their jar, for lining up so beautifully: excellent!
The children have remained happy and in good spirits, and are eager to get stuck in and find out more about life and lessons in Year 3.
4R
Year 4 have settled quickly into their classroom routines. They have worked quietly, but with interest and enthusiasm, and tried their best in their lessons. They have handed in a great piece of homework too. A fantastic start!
5J
5J have been a delight this week. They have been full of enthusiasm in everything they’ve done and offered to help with little jobs, which is very much appreciated. We look forward to their ambitious attitude continuing for the rest of the year!
5E
All the children in 5E have made a fantastic start to the year. We have been impressed not only with their focus and application in lessons, but also with their kindness, good manners and teamwork. We’ve only been t school for two full days and already there are six Powerballs in the jar! A brilliant start, 5E: well done.
6B
6B have made a super start to the year. They have been polite and attentive, have made great buddies for the Year 3 children, and have taken responsibility for the diplomatic bag. They have been great company over the last couple of days and we look forward to the year ahead.

They have settled very quickly to tasks, organised themselves well, asked interesting questions and really helped one another with any queries. They have shown been incredibly proactive in their work so far and really shown a great deal of promise. We look forward to a very productive year.
