Celebrating a super end to half term

Despite the rather informal attire sported by our pupil and staff body, today’s Celebration Assembly was a serious affair, with plenty of brilliant achievements to commend.

Once again our pupils have been just as busy out of school as they have been in. Harper P (Y1) won an array of medals last weekend at the Droitwich Stage Festival;  Mr Butt presented her with four medals today for ballet, tap, lyrical and singing. Tom H (Y2) has achieved not one but two martial arts belts this week, gaining his green belt in taekwondo and his yellow stripe belt in karate.

Handwriting Award:

Well done to Lyra H, who has been awarded a handwriting certificate from Mrs O’Neill.

Activity Badges:

Headmaster Awards (HMAs)

Khaleefah G-F impressed his teachers with his Latin to English translations. Freddie P showed off his HMA-winning wire sculptor of a footballer. Chloe, Sam and Palmer were praised for their fantastic independent work doing multiplication. They each tackled some tough calculations. Jess K has impressed with her super cave art animation video.

Year 6 pupils were praised for their research in Fibonacci and producing two informative posters.

Rosie J, Bruce W, Sophia and Amelie B have worked hard on their creative writing, impressing Mr Roberts and Mr Marsland with their descriptive writing about the land of the dragons.

Year 2:

Well done to Georgia P who was awarded a star of the week certificate for her excellent English and maths work. Simi H impressed her teachers with her bravery at the Informal Concert last night.

Year 1:

Tanith H was the 1JR star of the week for her excellent advert and Bonnie W was the 1VL star of the week for making use of conjunctions to make compound sentences!
