Celebrating Success at Hawford

Mr Cook was delighted to take this morning’s celebration assembly while Mr Butt was away. He started by talking about our value of resilience and the importance of not giving up.

He recalled the story of JK Rowling and how she started writing the Harry Potter stories 30 years ago. She believed in her story, and despite many publishers saying they wouldn’t publish her book, she kept making changes and persevering, until it was published and went on to become one of the most popular children’s books of all time.

Achievements outside school

Bea C was awarded a distinction in her ballet exam.

Cooper H-B did exceptionally well at the Worcester Wolves summer camp.

Luca M was man of the match in his football game last week.

Nicolas M was awarded a Chief Scout Badge for receiving six activity badges.

Edward R received a Merit award from Droitwich Cricket Club for his fantastic attitude and improvement during his first season with the club.

Arthur C completed an Ironman triathlon alongside his mum, Mrs Cranton.

We sang happy birthday to the only two birthdays at Hawford this week – Mrs Rand and Mr Roberts!
