Celebrating Success Autumn Term Week 8
Today we welcomed U4A to King’s St Alban’s to perform their winning Form Song Shut up and dance. The Senior School pupils delivered an excellent performance, which our pupils thoroughly enjoyed.
Mr Chapman started assembly by praising pupils for their outstanding performances in the Prep School Concert, which took place last night in College Hall.
Pre-Prep
Super Star Awards:
Year 2: Archie M received the Focus Award and Olivia was praised for her belief in herself in Maths.
Year 1: Alice P received the Focus Award and Molly was praised for her positive attitude this week.
Reception: Arla impressed Mrs Thorp with her excellent reading this week and the effort she has put into her work. Rosie has been fantastic and curious in her learning.
Year 2 Creative Writing:
Year Two pupils have completed some fantastic creative writing linked to their guided reading of The Owl Who was Afraid of the Dark. Well done to Charlie, Thomas, Tiegan, Hibah and Milan.
Timetables Awards:
Over 25 children in all Prep years were presented with their Bronze certificates. Well done to everyone.
Primary Maths Challenge:
Bronze – Henry R, Lottie F, Jasper, Arslan and Lily G.
Silver – Charlotte, Reuben and Sebastian.
Gold – Joel B

Writing Competition:
Martha N Y4 was awarded a certificate for her entry in the 500-word writing competition. Well done, Martha.
Achievements Outside of School:
Well done to Louie F, who has been selected for the U10 County Cricket Squad. Mr Chapman was delighted to award Iris a Gymnastics Medal; Lily E was awarded a Hockey Medal, and Helena was presented with a Participation Award for taking part in the Winterfold Cross Country.
Art Awards:
Hannah and Lily E have both produced super art pieces, which have impressed Mrs Cain.
Eco Committee:
Eco Committee Badges have been awarded to Poppy, Daniel, Kasvika, Cerys, Thea, Harry B, Charlotte H, Tilly, Charlotte C and Emily S.
