Celebrating Success Autumn Term – Week 10

In this week’s Celebration Assembly the school was able to mark the tremendous efforts our pupils have been putting into their learning. As we approach the final week’s of term it is great to see how focused our pupils are on achieving their goals both inside and outside of the classroom.

House point collection is going strong with plenty of points awarded this week across the school from Reception to Year 6. Well done to the following pupils who achieved the highest number of house points in each year group:

Year 1 – Cassian

Year 2 – Bella

Year 3 – George

Year 4 – Oliver

Year 5 – Hudson

Year 6 – Eva

Our coveted Hawford Activity Badges are extremely popular and many of our pupils are currently working hard towards a variety of different badges. Our Year 6 pupils in particular seem keen to collect as many as possible as with time at King’s Hawford drawing to a close at the end of the academic year. This week Molly was awarded her MFL Badge by Mrs Hyde. Edward received his Science Badge and Eden, Emily and Florrie were given their Eco Badges.

Our Pre-Prep pupils are also working hard. They have had a busy few weeks preparing for their Christmas performances but many have been awarded house points and prizes for their effort and attainment. The children in Reception have even started working towards their first Activity Badge – the Phonics Badge!

Year 2 have had another fantastic week. Bella was the top house point achiever in Year 2 this week. Well done to our Year 2 Stars of the Week: George, James, Orla and Valerie. George has put in some super effort this week and has made great progress with his speech and language. James has been an absolute superstar in rehearsals. Orla has put some fantastic effort into her English, with improved handwriting and spelling! Valerie was the recipient of our Brilliant manners award!

Year 1. Evelyn and Cassian have both had a super week with Evelyn gaining a Head Teachers Award from Mrs Phillips and Cassian taking the title of Top House Point achiever for Year 1. The following Year 1 pupils are this week’s Stars of the Week: Evelyn, Gabe, Rosie and Tom. Evelyn showed fantastic confidence in maths this week. Gabe put amazing effort into everything he did this week. Rosie has some fabulous ideas and contributed well in lessons and really impressed her teachers with her writing. Tom has done some excellent maths work.
