Celebrating Success. Spring Term Week 8

Reception:

• For always trying her best, Alice received an award for Perseverance.  Sadly she was unwell today so we will present her certificate next week.  Get well soon, Alice.
• Rory received a Super Star award for working really hard in all his lessons and being a very kind friend this week.

Year 1:

• An Independence award went to Tiegan for her super work on tricky number sequences in maths.
• Magson was the class Super Star for always listening and being enthusiastic.
• Well done to Nell, who swam widths on her own during this week’s swimming lesson.  Miss Woodger is very proud of you!

Year 2:

• Daisy’s much improved focus in her independent work earned her a Focus certificate.
• Iris received a Super Star award for showing great self-reflection.
• Daisy, Savannah and Maddie proudly showed us their superb flamingo paintings.  Well done, all of you!
• Persie earned a British Gymnasts Core Proficiency Award.  Well done, Persie!
• Savannah received a Rainbow 100m swimming certificate.

Year 3:

• Well done to Ben and Romi who made excellent ceramic frogs in art.
• Year 3 have been writing poems as part of their Creative ConneXions.  Mrs White and Mrs Atkinson were thrilled with the children’s hard work, in particular Ben, who found the exercise challenging but persevered and produced a great poem.

Year 4:

• Ben, Izzy and Tilly were congratulated on their descriptive writing.  Their use of language to describe a setting was excellent.
• Charlotte earned a medal for her timed 25m in each of the four strokes with Worcester Swimming Club.
• Well done to Archie who completed the 10km Virtual Landmarks Challenge in just 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Year 5:

• Congratulations Helena on winning all four of her county cross country races and receiving the Herefordshire and Borders U11 Girls’ Champion shield.

Year 6:

• The children have been rewriting Shakespeare’s famous monologue, ‘All the World’s a Stage’ with a modern day twist, giving titles such as ‘All the World’s a Virtual Reality’, or ‘All the World’s a Game!’  Well done to Izzy, Charlie, Emily and Rory on their particularly well written pieces.
• Will D was congratulated on his focus and excellent contribution to class discussion in humanities.

Times Tables:

• We awarded 12 certificates this morning, including Gold for Ben J and Sebastian S.
