Celebrating Success: Spring Term Week 9

Reception

  • The class Super Star this week is Coco because she always embraces her learning.
  • Winston received a Risk Taking certificate for being more engaged and involved with his friends.
  • Alice was ill last week, so today she received her Perseverance award. We are glad you are feeling better, Alice.
  • Both Coco and Theo were congratulated on their excellent work on number bonds.  Well done, both of you!

Year 1

  • Charlie was awarded a Focus certificate for his hard work and concentration in all tasks this week.
  • A Super Star award went to Akshay for always being kind and hard working.

Year 2

  • George received a Focus award for his consistent hard work.
  • For showing increased independence, Savannah received a Super Star award.
  • Well done, Persie, on earning yet another gymnastics certificate!
  • Elodie, Julietta, Maddie and Daisy proudly showed us their stunning water-colour paintings of snowdrops.

Year 4

  • As part of their history studies, Year 4 have written letters applying to be Roman soldiers.  The children first produced a draft copy and then edited and wrote it up neatly.  Mrs Lewis was particularly impressed with Rosie, Ben, Archie, Crispin and Charlotte for their evident pride in their super work.
  • Mrs Clark was delighted with Marnie, Skye, Emma, Charlotte, Madie and Zara, who represented KSA in an U9 netball tournament this week.  She said that the girls’ effort was amazing!  Well done, girls!

Year 5

  • All of Year 5 took part in a snowy AFP afternoon on Wednesday due the cancellation of some fixtures.  Mrs Etherington and Miss Jordan gave the children a blank world map and set the task of putting together a poster about any country of their choice. Working in pairs, the children showed great curiosity, focus and co-operation and produced some excellent posters, in particular Jasper and Arslan, Martha and Aelwen, Ruqayyah and Shreya, Suzie and Charlotte, and Isaac and George.  Well done all of you!

Year 6

  • Well done to Oliver and Ivan, who had lots of great ideas for their individual sections in their Creative ConneXions dance, coming up with some really imaginative choreography.

Swimming

  • Congratulations to the 16 children who took part in the IAPS Swimming Regional Qualifiers at Millfield yesterday, especially the U10 girls, Aelwen, Helena, Evie and Karla, who won the medley and freestyle relays and Helena, who came first and James, who came second in their individual 25m backstroke events.

World Book Day book cover competition

  • Well done to everyone who entered the competition to redesign the cover of a favourite book.  There were so many entries and they were all of such a great standard that it was genuinely difficult to choose the winners;
