Celebrating Success Spring Term – Week Nine

Pupils have shown no sign of slowing down as we head towards the end of the Spring Term. It has been another fantastic week for pupils across the School.

Pre-Prep Awards

This week, Coco F has shown super focus when improving sentences with adjectives. Rory S has been such a delight in the classroom and has really impressed his teacher. In Year Two, Archie M’s concentration has been excellent during activities and lessons, whilst Hugo F has consistently shown resilience and perseverance in class. Well done to all the Pre-Prep Superstars!

Commendation Awards

This week Shreya V was commended for her performance at the Worcester Competitive Arts Festival which saw her take Second Place. Pip T, Edith H and Ben D in Year Four have all produced some excellent Cloud poems based on Kennings type poetry.

In Pre-Prep, Year Two pupils Nell and Olivia, Leen and Hibah and Hugo and Luna have worked well in pairs, predicting an object’s mass in grams or kilograms and weighing with scales to check the real weight. As part of last week’s World Book Day celebrations, Year Two pupils completed some excellent observational drawings in the style of Quentin Blake. Well done to Magson, Olivia and Charlie who focused on The BFG, Archie M (Willy Wonka), Leen (The Witches), Tiegan (Matilda) and Thomas H (Mr Twit).

Over in Year One, Geoffrey W and Ben P have both completed fantastic tiger collages based on the artwork Surprised! by Henri Rousseau.

Year Five pupils have had a super week in their French lessons: Isy G, Skye F, Arlo F and Zara W have all impressed with their excellent French message conversations, accurate French writing, and good use of plurals.

The following children all completed the Reading Miles Global Challenge: Josh R, Charlotte C, Helena C and Ruqayyah S. Jack P, Will R and Harry S were commended for their English monologues, based on All the World’s a Stage.

Achievements from Outside School

Well done to Lily G, Laura, Ellie and Lottie, who were all part of a joint U11 team that came in fourth in the Plate Competition at the Warwick Netball Tournament last weekend.
