Celebrating Success Summer Term: Week 4

With the Summer Term now well and truly underway and children relishing all the opportunities and adventures this term has to offer it is no surprise that our school community has so much to celebrate. At this week’s Celebration Assembly, we celebrated the following achievements:

Reception:

  • Well done to Geoffrey, who received a Focus certificate for his great engagement and focus this week.
  • Ivan earned an Independence certificate for trying his best to work independently.

 

Year 1:

  • Hugo’s hard work and determination earned him a Focus certificate.
  • Akshay was awarded a Super Star award for being curious about the world around him.

 

Year 2:

  • For turning his worries into fun, George received a Risk-Taking award.
  • ALL of Year 2 embraced new challenges at Boundless Outdoors this week, so they are all Super Stars!

 

Year 3:

  • Mrs Atkinson was delighted with Year 3’s stained glass window designs. Their use of Christian symbols was excellent and they showed tremendous pride in their work. Well done, all of you!

 

Year 4:

  • Well done to all the Year 4 children who completed the Bikeability course earlier this week: Archie, Harry, Sofia, Yifei, Charlotte, Ben, Isy, Albert, Rosie, Marnie, Zara, Madie, Brody, Ariya, Ché-David, Emma, Louie, Emily, Mark, Luca, Phoebe and Will.
  • Last week’s tri-golf tournament was a first for KSA and we are delighted to be trough to the second round. Well done, Archie, Will, George, Mark, Louie, Skye, Charlotte, Marnie, Ivy and Tilly.
  • Mrs Kilbey was delighted with 4R’s French story writing, and in particular Emily, Madie and Ché-David.
  • 4J were given the task research any country of tier choice and create a poster. Izzy, Yifei and Sofia looked at Japan, Tilly and Isy learned about Germany, Harry, Harry and Archie researched America, Ben and Albert looked at India and Marnie and Charlotte learned lots about Greece. Well done, all of you!
  • Huge congratulations to Will B on winning a Bronze medal in the International Wado Cup, which took place in Berlin

  • Ché-David and Emma brought in their Wolf Run medals.
  • Good luck to George, who will represent Gaudet Luce Golf Club in the first round of the Golf Sixes League at Hadley Golf Club this weekend.

Year 5:

  • All of Year 5 are enjoying their residential visit to PGL Boreatton Park. We look forward to hearing about their adventures next week.

 

Year 6:

  • Well done to Eshal, Ella, Sienna, Charlie, Leo, Barnaby and Eddie, who worked in groups to produce some really informative posters about World War Two.
  • In the second round of the Primary Maths Challenge, Arthur and Jack B earned Bronze awards and Ace earned Silver. Well done!
  • Congratulations, Katie, on successfully completing the Easter Reading Challenge.

 

Coronation GYM Homework:

There were some fantastic GYM Homework projects to show this week. Well done to the following, who proudly showed us their work:

· Jasper and Eshal who both made crowns

· Ben D created a new Royal emblem

· Edith drew a street party scene

· Cerys designed a Coronation flower

· Kasvika put together a presentation about the King

· Emily F wrote a poem

· Katie drew a portrait of the King

· Sienna D drew a Royal family tree
