Celebrating Success: Summer Term Week 9

Reception:

  • For being a kind and reliable friend, Lakshmi received a Kindness Award.
  • Ben earned a Super Star Award for being enthusiastic and having a go at everything.

Year 1:

  • Hibah received a Certificate for Independence after she worked very hard on her independent writing.
  • For listening to feedback and implementing it, Hugo received a Super Star Award.

Year 2:

  • Elodie’s consistent focus in the classroom earned her a Focus Certificate.
  • Bertie is this week’s Super Star, for asking thoughtful and considered questions.
  • Well done to Julietta, Iris, Amber and Daisy for their super work on four-figure grid references.

Year 3:

  • Kasvika, Millie, Ben, Hannah, Cerys and Romi were congratulated on the perseverance and hard work they put into their creative writing.  They made great progress with their style and vocabulary.  Well done, all of you!
  • Zack chose a jewel for the class reward jar rather than a personal House point so that his whole class would receive a reward before the end of term.  Well done, Zack, on making a selfless decision!
  • Henry brought in a very special thank-you card which he received recently.  It is signed by King Charles and Queen Camilla, thanking him for the lovely letter he wrote to them about the Coronation. What a wonderful memento this is for you to keep, Henry!

Year 4:

  • Mrs Lewis was delighted by the inventive presentation methods 4J came up with when learning about earthquakes.  Izzy and Ivy put together a presentation on Showbie, Marnie and Rosie made clay models of the inner structure of the Earth, Charlotte and Yifei made a 3D fact-file, Harry, Harry and Ben created a darts game and both Freddy and Tilly made excellent posters.
  • Well done to Georgia on passing the Rainbow times-tables award.
  • Charlotte showed us the medal she won in the Swim Games Junior Development League.

Year 5:

  • Mr Chapman awarded another eight times-tables certificates, including Gold for Harry, Tom and Shreya.
  • Mrs Pitts challenged her maths set to a speed test of their times-tables recall. Harry, Evie, Rook, Ellie, Aaron, George, Joshua and Shreya passed the five-second test and the winners were Harry and Aaron, who passed the three-second test. Well done both of you!
  • Jacob, Reuben, Joel, Alice, Helena and Ellie proudly showed us the fabulous totem poles they made in art as part of their studies on Native American Indians.
