Celebrating Success: Summer Term Week Two

Pupils joined together in the Pre-Prep hall to celebrate another successful week at King’s St Alban’s. It was slightly quieter than usual on account of the fact that Year Three have been enjoying the great outdoors on their adventurous residential trip to Oaker Wood and we look forward to hearing all about it when they return to school, rested and washed on Monday!

The focus of today’s Celebration Assembly, introduced by our Headmaster, Mr Hawker, was showing initiative and going the extra mile. Mr Hawker praised Year Five, who have demonstrated this all week by getting involved in School Council workshops focusing on how to be an upstanding member of the community. He also praised the Pre-Prep children for pushing themselves during their Mini-Olympics.

Prep Prep Awards

This week’s Reception superstars were Chloe F, for always showing such a can-do attitude and getting involved in everything with such enthusiasm, and Maisie W, for showing such determination in her phonics and reading: well done to you both. In Year One Ivan J was commended for his super positive attitude when given challenges this week, and Geoffrey W for fantastic focus when practising his times-table facts. Year Two awards were given to Oliva E, for showing great determination and motivation when finding 1/3 of a number, and Hibah R, for demonstrating super teamwork and positivity during the Mini-Olympics.
