As the school came together for Celebration Assembly this morning, it was hard to believe that another week has flown by. It has been an action-packed week of learning, with plenty going on inside and outside of the classroom giving us plenty to celebrate.
This morning the school were treated to a lively performance from James B (Y4) on the piano, who played Szöcske by Lajos Papp. Well done James for a brilliant performance in front of his peers.
Mrs Phillips started today’s assembly by acknowledging pupils who had been awarded Head Teacher Awards this week. Well done to Year 4 pupils Henry W and Leighton S. Year 4 teacher Mr Cook has been impressed with the huge improvement that Leighton has made in his division work and the resilience that Henry has shown in his work with division.
This week has seen many House Points awarded across the school from Reception to Year 6. Congratulations to our Top House Point Scorers in each year group: Braxton (Rec), Amelie B (Y1), Orla B (Y2), Iza MP & Sophie W (Y3), Leighton S (Y4), Arya (Y5) and Fabian W (Y6).
There were three Hawford Activity Badges presented today. Florence B and James R both received their PE badges whilst Rose G gained her Humanities badge. Congratulations to all three for the hard work they have put into achieving these. Special congratulations must go to Florence B, who has now amassed eight badges and as a result was also awarded one star! A super achievement.
This week pupils in Kinver House have had an exceptional week, which has seen them amass a total of 302 points between them. They are the leading House Point Scorers for the week. This has made things exceptionally tight at the top for the total House Points of the year, with just 6 points between 1st and 2nd place, but it is Bredon that are currently in the lead.
