Celebrating Success with a World Book Day Twist

King’s St Alban’s pupils have had another stellar week, resulting in plenty to celebrate in this Friday’s assembly.

Pre-Prep Awards

Well done to Adel T, who was praised for being a Superstar. Nathaniel M has impressed his teacher with his interesting questions and enquiring mind, and Winston L is blossoming in Year One: this week staff have seen more of his lovely personality shining through and have enjoyed his enthusiastic company in the classroom. Alice P has worked hard independently during writing tasks this week. Over in Year Two, Milan C has shown real pride in his work and enthusiasm in his learning, and Magson C has embraced new challenges and shown more confidence.

Commendation Awards

Children from 3A impressed Mrs Atkinson this week. She was absolutely delighted with the effort the pupils put into writing their poems for Creative ConneXions.

Sebastian S, Jasper M, Reuben A, Jessica D and Rook T were all commended for their outstanding pieces of work in English. The children each wrote their own modern version of Jacques’ “All the World’s a Stage” speech from Shakespeare’s As You Like It.

The following Reception children completed some fantastic dictation work using words from the story of Jack and the Beanstalk: Barney M, Arla R, Alice D, Baxter C, Kitty S, Nathaniel M, Chloe F and Adel T.

6HM pupils Helena C, Evie R, Amelie R and Sam T have produced some excellent English work with their Time Travel Stories. Well done to George C and Louie F for their wonderful creative writing too.

Headmaster Awards (HMAs)

Well done to Dylan, who was our sole HMA winner this week. He has worked hard to pick up the class dance and performed it well.

Achievements from Outside School

Ellie B and Shreya V both performed extremely well at the Worcester Competitive Arts Festival. They won first place in their class of Musical Theatre Duet, 10 years and under, and Ellie came in second place in the Musical Theatre, 9 and 10 year Class. We are all so proud of them.

Mr Hawker was delighted to award in Max in Year Three with the karate medal that he has achieved recently.
