Celebration Assembly 22.06.18

We had a much shorter ‘celebration’ element to today's assembly but this was more than made up for by the informative and highly amusing presentation by Jason Cortis from the Blue Cross animal welfare charity.  Jason told the children about the variety of animals cared for by the Blue Cross and then gave valuable advise about how to stay safe around unfamiliar dogs.

There was, however, still time to award Growth Mindset certificates to our hardworking Pre-Prep children.  Well done to Theo, JM and Ace who were all commended on their focus and concertation, to Magnus and Bertie for working independently, to Emily and Lily-May for their perseverance and to Rowen for being willing to take risks in her learning.

Well done to all who took part in the Inter House Chess Competition this year.  The overall winner was Xander, claiming the title for Thomas House.

We were then treated to a wonderful performance of Shostakovich’s violin piece ‘Romance’ by Ottilie; a truly exceptional achievement given that she is only in Year 3!
