Christmas celebrations reach fever pitch in Pre-Prep!
The King’s St Alban’s Pre-Prep pupils had a wonderful Christmassy afternoon on Monday. Arriving at school first thing on Monday morning dressed in their best Christmas party outfits, they were ready and raring to go for a day of fun! No pressure King’s St Alban’s Parent Social Group or teachers!!
After a busy morning making cards, calendars and decorations, the children were treated to a Christmas party, run by the King’s St Alban’s Parent Social Group. The afternoon included lots of games and dancing, there was even a delicious Christmas tree biscuit too, to refuel everyone after lots of running around! The children tried their hardest to pin the nose on Rudolph, some of them managed a very accurate attempt! Parcel the parcel is always a firm favourite, and the children were keen to be the last one to unwrap the prize! In between party games, everyone had a visit to Father Christmas. He was in a special grotto and each child went in to tell him that they had been very good (!) and to share their Christmas lists. Father Christmas listened carefully to all their requests and it’s looking to be a popular year for scooters. He had even brought everyone a bag full of treats.
In addition, the parents and children of King’s St Alban’s nursery joined together in the school chapel to celebrate the start of the festive season with a number of rousing renditions of traditional carols and Christmas songs. Father Christmas couldn’t resist and popped along to join in the fun, the children were all very excited and sung beautifully – well done Nursery!
It was a lovely afternoon, enjoyed by all on the last Monday of term. Thank you to the King’s St Alban’s Parent Social Group for making it such a special afternoon.
