Creative Collaboration in House Art Afternoon

Following an energetic morning of House sport, Thursday afternoon brought a change of pace as pupils from Reception to Year 6 came together once again, this time for a wonderfully creative and collaborative House Art Afternoon.

The challenge? To design and complete a large House Mandala, featuring beautifully decorated bears in their House colours and themes. Pupils worked in mixed-age groups, carefully cutting out bear shapes in all sizes before colouring, sticking, and assembling their contributions into a vibrant, house-themed Mandala.

As the bears filled the centre of each Mandala, the remaining space was brought to life with shapes, patterns, and colour, each design proudly reflecting the identity and spirit of the house it represented.

One of the most heartwarming aspects of the afternoon was seeing older pupils supporting and encouraging younger ones, offering help with cutting, sharing colouring techniques, and working together to bring their shared vision to life. It was a fantastic example of the school community in action, where creativity, teamwork, and mutual respect took centre stage.

The finished pieces are not only visually striking but also a celebration of our pupils’ collaboration, leadership, and sense of belonging.

Well done to everyone involved, a truly inspiring afternoon of art, teamwork, and House pride!
