Cricket: Impressive bowling and alertness.

King’s St Alban’s U8/9 Cricket v RGS Springfield

RGS Springfield made the short trip across to Slingpool Walk to play in a U8/9 cricket fixture in the beautiful sunshine of Tuesday afternoon. Louie F was King’s St Alban’s cricket captain for the day, won the toss and chose to bat first. We batted superbly, using a wide variety of shots to hit the boundary on a number of occasions. Tommy and Mark had a brilliant partnership of 32 runs in three overs, where they hit three sixes and three fours. Sam and Arslan also batted well together and scored 25, with Arslan scoring a massive six. King’s St Alban’s scored an impressive total of 89 off 12 overs.

It was then King’s St Alban’s turn to bowl and we were super impressed with the consistency of the bowling. Every single one of the team bowled in good areas, with a good line and length. Special mention must go to Sam and Archie, who each bowled a maiden over. With our impressive bowling and alertness in the field, we kept their score down to 30.
