Cross-Country Achievements

Last Friday, a group of 24 enthusiastic children participated in a cross-country event at RGS. For many, it was their first time attending such an event, and the trip over was filled with a mix of excitement and nerves. Questions about the course were abundant, but after walking the course, the children felt more at ease and ready to take on the challenge.

The event consisted of four races: boys and girls in two different age groups. We are incredibly proud of all our runners, who showed remarkable determination and completed what was a challenging course.

With most races featuring between 50 and 60 runners, our students achieved some impressive results. A special mention goes to Dylan, Elodie, and Thea, who each secured 14th or 15th place finishes in their respective races. Outstandingly, Nell delivered a fantastic performance, earning herself a medal for her third-place finish!

The Year 5 girls’ team also achieved a remarkable result, finishing 4th overall in a competitive field of at least 13 schools.

Well done to all our runners for their effort, resilience, and sportsmanship—we are incredibly proud of you all!
