Duvet Day and Valentine’s Celebrations
On Friday 14th February, the whole school celebrated Duvet Day and Valentine’s with a fun-filled day of events for both children and staff.
Everyone was invited to wear PJs, dressing gowns, or leisurewear and bring along a pillow for the occasion. A £3 donation was requested from all children to support the school’s chosen charities.
The day began with the usual Celebration Assembly, followed by Mindfulness and Yoga sessions for Year 3-6 children in The Barn, and for Reception and Pre-prep children in the Cobb. In the late morning, children took part in a Pillow Fight competition on the Hard Surface, which was a big hit.
The afternoon was filled with Valentine’s festivities. Year 3 & 4 children enjoyed their own Valentine’s Disco in the Dance Studio, while Year 5 & 6 had their own event later, before heading to their Enrichment Programme sessions. Meanwhile, the children from Year 3 & 4 students also participated in play rehearsals in The Barn, and Reception and Pre-Prep had their Valentine’s Disco.
It was a memorable day of celebration and fun, with all children enjoying a break from their usual routine to participate in the special activities.
