Embracing Children’s Mental Health Week

This week, we proudly embraced Children’s Mental Health Week with a variety of activities aimed at promoting emotional well-being across all year groups.

Our Pre-Prep pupils started the week with morning yoga in the ‘Early Room,’ helping them stretch, breathe, and focus their minds to set a positive tone for the day ahead. The Wake Up, Shake Up dance-along with Prep was full of energy and joy, encouraging movement and a positive mindset to kickstart the day.

In Year 6, pupils demonstrated how they use Microsoft Reflect to answer the question, “How are you feeling today?” After selecting a character that best reflects their mood, they engage in mindfulness activities such as meditation, breathing exercises, mindful games, and colouring, tools that help them better understand and manage their emotions.

This week also provided a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our achievement of the Wellbeing Award for Schools (WAS), in partnership with the National Children’s Bureau. Well-being is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that every child feels nurtured, supported, and empowered.
