Exciting First Rugby Fixtures for Year Three

Two buses of very excited Year Three boys set off for Winterfold on Tuesday afternoon for their first ever rugby fixtures, representing King’s Hawford. Nerves and trepidation were evident at the promise of the big stage – that was just the staff.

Once split into two teams, the boys went about their business in superb fashion, with both teams performing brilliantly in their three rugby games, coming away with very well-deserved results, including some thumping victories.

Tries and tags were the order of the day, with every boy contributing to the cause. It was a great start to the boys’ competitive sporting careers at Hawford and bodes well for an exciting future.
