Festive Dramatical Performance
As the festive theme continued at King’s St Alban’s in the final few days of the Autumn Term, the Year 5 and Year 6 drama club treated the school to a dramatical performance of ‘Peace and Goodwill‘.
The main theme of this festive production focusses on a school (not too dissimilar to King’s St Alban’s) as they prepare for their Christmas nativity play under the direction of Mrs Gusset! Our Year 5 and Year 6 actors and actresses worked extremely hard throughout the term, learning their lines in order to deliver a polished performance with fantastic comical timing. The audience witnessed outstanding performances from the whole cast. To name a few, Katie F (Year 6) in her unflappable role as Mrs Gusset who dealt with numerous and unexpected questions from the children. Alice (Year 5) shone on the stage as she played the role of a scary, demanding parent who was extremely disappointed that her daughter had been case as Sheep #1. The Angel Gabriel, played by Ella (Year 6) ensured that laughter filled the room bringing an inhaler instead of a halo whilst Mortimer (Year 6) hit the button with his awesome comic timing as he played the role of a wonderfully hard done by dramatical donkey! Finally, we mustn’t forget Mary, played by Penny (Year 6) who was fabulous at acting the part.
Clearly a very talented and comical bunch of pupils who truly delighted their audience, we are sure that we will see this cast in the future as they continue to relish the opportunities offered by our Drama club which forms part of our comprehensive after-school provision in the Prep School. We look forward to the next production.
Congratulations to cast and crew on a fantastic performance – all your hard work most certainly paid off!
