Festive Frolics at Holiday Club

The end of term saw the return of our popular Early Years Holiday Club and Activity Camp. The clubs ran right up to Christmas Eve and provided plenty of festive fun for the children in attendance. Our Holiday Club staff put together a fantastic programme of activities for the children to enjoy.

Activity Club, which is open to children from Year 1 upwards, was well attended and children enjoyed a host of festive activities. There were plenty of arts and crafts, baking, outdoor play and sessions in our on site pool. The highlight for many of the children were the two trips offsite. On the first day of Activity Camp the children boarded the school mini buses and travelled to the cinema to watch Clifford The Big Red Dog. A trip to the West Midlands Safari Park in the week leading up to Christmas was a very special event. The children and staff were guided along a Discovery Trail by one of the elves to Santa’s sleigh where they were magically transported to the North Pole and Santa’s Grotto! Once inside the Grotto the children were able to meet Santa himself. After meeting Santa the children headed to the Elves’ Workshop where children were invited to pick their own present.

Our Reception and Pre-School children, were also treated to a secularly festive time in our Early Years Holiday Club. Staff had prepared an array of Christmas themed activities for the children to take part in each day. These included a Gingerbread Man themed day which involved all things gingerbread from baking and decorating, colouring and sticking and of course tasting! The highlight for many of the children was the Christmas Party which was hosted in The Barn by DNA Kids. The children loved the party games and it was a delight to watch their excitement especially when the snow machine was turned on!

Our February Half Term Holiday provisions will be running from Monday 21st to Thursday 24th February. Booking forms will be available soon.
