Forest School Fun: Creativity, Teamwork, and Nature at its Best

This week, our Forest School sessions were brimming with creativity, teamwork, and hands-on learning! The children started by planting willow cuttings, taking great care to water them and ensuring they had the best start in life. It was a wonderful example of teamwork, with everyone pitching in to nurture the young plants.

In addition to this, pupils had a fantastic time playing in the dens they built, using natural materials to create their own outdoor hideaways. Their imaginations soared as they worked together to design and construct these cosy spaces.

A particularly exciting activity was the creation of willow dream catchers. With willow branches, string, and pinecones, the children crafted beautiful, nature-inspired dream catchers, each one a unique masterpiece. This creative project not only encouraged artistic expression but also helped the children develop their fine motor skills.

Forest School continues to provide a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to connect with the natural world, learn new skills, and collaborate with their peers. We look forward to seeing even more outdoor adventures unfold in the coming weeks!
