Fundraising spirit extends beyond King’s St Alban’s

Year 4 pupil, Lily took her fundraising efforts out into the community last weekend. On Friday evening, Lily was invited to sell her beautiful kindness bracelets at a talk about Ukraine, its history, people and music, which took place at St George’s Church, Barbourne.

The talk itself was given by former King’s Worcester parent, Geoff Sansome, who spent a number of years working with farmers in Ukraine, and Ukrainian-born Anna Yevtukh, who now lives and works in Worcestershire. Lily was kept incredibly busy after the talk, selling her kindness bracelets, which sold like hot cakes! She raised a further £145, taking her total to date to an impressive £364! All funds will be donated to the British Red Cross appeal. Everyone was so impressed by her mature and focused response to the crisis, and her determination to do her bit to help the refugees fleeing their homes. Well done on your fundraising, Lily. We are so proud of you!
