Hitting the home straight with plenty to celebrate

As we hit the home straight, it is reassuring to see that all of the pupils are continuing to achieve a multitude of successes both inside and outside of the classroom. At the start of the final half term of the academic year, Mr Butt implored pupils to channel Usain Bolt by chasing down the finish and refusing to ease up when approaching that finish line.

Out of School Achievements:

The King’s Hawford Equestrian team have been in action once again. Mr Butt was delighted to share to team’s success with the rest of the school and present the team with their rosettes, sashes and medals. You can read all about the girls’ successes here.

Mr Butt was also able to award music certificates to pupils who took their exams back in the Spring Term but had not received their certificates from the examination board before now.

Headmaster Awards (HMAs)

Mrs Beech has been really impressed with 3GO in their science lessons. Pupils have completed some independent research, producing fact files about flowers. Well done to Ruby K, Orla B, Daisy, George A, Maysie L, Rosie and Jasmine O.

Year One children have produced some excellent written work recently. Rupert wrote a brilliant story, Indie completed some independent research on deserts and Jessica wowed her teacher with some super written work in class.

In Year Six, Edith D and Harriette T were recognised for the high standard of their completed reading records. Michelle Z, Rose G and Isla H-M have written some brilliant stories about the Civil War. Mrs Hyde was pleased with Rose G’s German writing.

George C (Y4) and Evan N (Y5) have done brilliantly in their assessed written work.

Following three off-site trips by Year Two this week, Mr Roberts was blown away by one pupil in particular. Ori A was a superb ambassador for the School at all times: she contributed to discussions, was polite and helpful.
