House Spirit Shines in a Fantastic Morning of Sport

Thursday morning saw the whole school come alive with House spirit as pupils from Reception through to Year 6 took part in a brilliant morning of House sport. With activities tailored to each age group, the energy, excitement, and sense of community were felt throughout the school.

Reception and Year 1 kicked things off with a high-energy game of kick cricket. Laughter and loud cheers filled the air as pupils took turns to kick, run, and field, while fellow house members offered enthusiastic support from the sidelines. It was a fantastic introduction to House sport for our youngest children.

Meanwhile, Years 2, 3 and 4 headed to the pool for a vibrant House Swimming Gala. With races spanning a range of strokes and distances, each house gave their all, showing excellent technique and a strong sense of team spirit. The smiles, excitement, and cheers from the poolside were clear proof of just how much our pupils enjoy these events.

At the same time, Years 5 and 6 battled it out in a fast-paced House Cricket Tournament. The competitive spirit was matched by camaraderie and fun, with each house cheering loudly and even singing along to the music, as they celebrated each other’s successes on the pitch.

Our House events are a much-loved part of school life, giving pupils the chance to work as a team, show sportsmanship, and take pride in their house. They bring different year groups together in a fun, supportive environment and create lasting memories for everyone involved.

A huge well done to all pupils for their effort, enthusiasm, and House pride. We look forward to many more events to come!
