King’s Hawford Children Go the Distance in Sponsored Biathlon
On Thursday, children in Years 3 and 4 at excitedly took part in the annual sponsored biathlon, swimming six lengths of the pool before running three laps of the Top Field.
The children embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, energy and plenty of smiles, giving their all from start to finish.
Every young athlete showed extraordinary determination, demonstrating not only their physical resilience but also excellent sportsmanship as they encouraged and supported one another throughout the event.
Parents and family members turned out in force to cheer the children on, offering encouragement and support at every stage of the course.
The day was a wonderful reflection of the school community’s generosity, with sponsorship donations continuing to pour in. Together, the pupils raised over £1,000 for charity – an absolutely fantastic achievement! The money raised will be shared between the school’s four chosen charities this year: Project Gambia, Breakthrough T1D, CoppaFeel! and Teenage Cancer Trust.
Charity events are an important part of life at King’s Hawford, helping children to understand that their actions can make a meaningful difference to the lives of others.
Congratulations to all the children who took part, and to every member of the King’s Hawford community who donated, supported and helped make the event such a wonderful success.
