Supporting Malvern St James Families

We are sorry to hear the news regarding Malvern St James School and recognise how difficult and unsettling this will be for its community.

The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

Contact us confidentially to arrange a conversation.

House Cross Country Event

We enjoyed another wonderful House Cross-Country event in the spring sunshine last week as the children competed in their Houses to win the much-coveted King’s Hawford Cross Country Trophy.

Although the children had to race in their individual year groups to maintain our Covid bubbles, there was still a great deal of excitement in the air as they took to the field to compete amongst their peers and earn points for their House.

The overall results show how tight the race was but we are delighted to announce that the winning house for 2021 is Malvern with an average position of 8.36. Thereafter, the results are as follows:

2nd – Kinver (average position 8.79)

3rd – Bredon (average position 9.10)

4th – Clent (average position 9.26)

Our annual cross-country race is a whole school event, with even our youngest children in Kindergarten participating and completing one lap of the track on the bottom sports field. The distance increases throughout the year groups, with Year 6 completing a long-distance race throughout the school grounds.

The children showed excellent sportsmanship throughout, so well done to all involved. Thanks also to our sports team for putting on such a well organised and fun event.
