King’s Hawford Celebration Assembly

Another fantastic Celebration Assembly this week at King’s Hawford! Mr. Butt kicked off the session by encouraging the children to reflect on Monday’s assembly about teamwork.

He asked them to think about how they have used teamwork at school, and the children shared some brilliant examples, from collaborating on science experiments to working together in sports and much more.

We were then treated to two amazing musical performances:

• Henry D performed Russian March on the cello.
• Harry G (Trumpet) and George C (Euphonium) played  a duet, Men of Harlech.

The assembly continued with a celebration of children’s outside of school sporting achievements:

• Finley R earned his Green Belt in Karate.
• Mr. Marsland shared the success of children from Worcester Rugby Club, who took part in the U7 festival and performed brilliantly in all five matches. Medals were awarded to: William R, Jonty D, Archie G, Olivia L, George G, Arthur C, Elizabeth D, Jack W, Rupert O, and Theodore T.
• Thea E won a gold and two silvers at the recent Wychavon Gala.
• Persie D was also celebrated for her excellent ball skills in Worcester Hockey Club.

We also celebrated some outstanding gymnastics achievements:

• Georgina received recognition for her fantastic beam work.
• Claudia was praised for her vault work.
• Harriet was celebrated for her impressive work on the bars.

In dancing and singing, the following children shone:

• Alanna A earned 11 medals for her exceptional dancing, including a special acro dressed as a pirate! She won a medal in every dance she participated in.
• Robyn was awarded the title of Most Promising Singer at the Worcester Competitive Arts Festival.
• Olivia P was recognised for completing her ABRSM Prep singing exam.

We then celebrated inside of school achievements :
