King’s St Alban’s Swimmers Finish 5th in the Country at National Championships
On Saturday 20th June, we were incredibly proud to see Millie, Thea, Jacob, Lillianna and Bertie represent King’s St Alban’s at the ESSA National Primary Teams Championships in Sheffield.
Competing against some of the strongest young swimmers from across the country, the team produced outstanding performances in both the 4 x 25m Freestyle Relay and the 4 x 25m Mixed Medley Relay. Swimming with determination, skill and excellent teamwork, they successfully qualified for the finals in both events before going on to achieve an outstanding 5th place in the country in the National Small Schools category in both races.
To finish among the top five small school teams in the nation is a remarkable achievement and reflects the dedication, commitment and hard work the pupils have shown throughout the year.
Reflecting on the day, Mr Hooman said:
“I am incredibly proud of the team and everything they achieved. They demonstrated great teamwork throughout the competition, representing the school brilliantly. To finish 5th in the country in both events is a fantastic achievement. Results like these are a testament to the strength of swimming at KSA. They should all be immensely proud of themselves.”
The championships provided a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to compete on the national stage against the very best primary school swimmers in the country, creating memories and experiences that will stay with them for years to come.
Congratulations to Millie, Thea, Jacob, Lillianna and Bertie on this outstanding achievement. They represented King’s St Alban’s with tremendous determination, sportsmanship and pride, and the whole school community celebrates their success.
