King’s St Alban’s Upcycling Challenge: Give Something Old a New Lease of Life
This half term, we’re challenging all pupils to get creative and take part in the King’s St Alban’s Upcycling Competition! The mission? To repurpose something old or broken and transform it into something new, useful, or beautifully unique.
Whether it’s turning a plastic bottle into a bird feeder, creating a toy boat, or even making colourful sun catchers to brighten your garden, the possibilities are endless! Some inventive examples we’ve seen include a frying pan turned into a decorative owl and planters made from old jeans and yes, even a toilet transformed into a flower pot!
We can’t wait to see the imaginative and sustainable ideas our pupils come up with as they give everyday items a brand-new purpose.
Entries should be brought into school by Tuesday 4th November.
We hope everyone enjoys this chance to be creative, resourceful, and environmentally friendly over the half term break. Good luck, upcyclers!
