Kinver Clinch House Treat

Kinver have been crowned as the top House! This term, the House Points have been flooding in and each week pupils have watched with anticipation as Mr Butt has announced the top House Point achievers and in turn the top House each week. After 13 weeks of hard work it was revealed that Kinver had taken the top spot. As a result, pupils from Kinver House have taken part in the House Treat festivities on the penultimate day of term.

Mrs Knight and the team of Kinver teachers ensured that all the pupils involved had a brilliant time as the festivities started with a series of party games in The Cob. Mrs Knight lead children in some brilliantly choreographed games of musical bumps and musical statues and, as the Christmas tunes rang out, pupils danced their socks off, eager to impress and win some sweet treats. After several rounds, the tempo was turned down a notch, giving pupils (and Mrs Knight) a chance to catch their breath. Children then took part in some Pass the Parcel style games, with our Year Six House Captains overseeing the distribution of prizes.

The festivities then moved to The Barn, where children relaxed with a glass of milk and a chocolate snowman. As the children refuelled, they were able to spend time getting to know children from other year groups, and the older children were brilliant at looking after our Reception and Year Two pupils. After the refreshments, Reception children headed off to get ready for lunch. The remaining children then enjoyed a large-scale game of Hide and Seek in our extensive school grounds. The House Captains were tasked with seeking and the game certainly kept the children busy. A number of the children found some wonderful hiding spots, which really tested the seekers.

Well done Kinver on a very successful term. Special thanks should go to Mrs Knight and her team for organising such a fantastic House Treat.
