King's Hawford

Leonardo Competition
This year, as part of our Leonardo Art Competition, the whole school took part in celebrating our upcoming 70th anniversary. The children worked incredibly hard to create either a piece of artwork or a poem on the theme King’s Hawford 70th Anniversary.
We received a total of 37 excellent entries, with contributions split fairly equally across the school.
Pre-Prep Highly Commended:
Theodore L – A rosette which detailed all the things he most enjoys doing at King’s Hawford.
Myla-Mae H – Created a shield showing many of her favourite features of life at King’s Hawford, including The Fort, Library Bus and the Chickens
Marelia M- Made an excellent 4- piece puzzle of the King’s Hawford Logo.
Hugo G – Borrowed elements of several of his Lego sets, to create the King’s Hawford Logo and school name.
Florence J- Made King’s Hawford a wonderful pop- up birthday card featuring The Fort and a huge birthday cake!
Pre-Prep Winner:
Monty H – Made an excellent canvas picture featuring the schools values and the nine dots in the logo, highlighted different aspects he loves of the school.
Years 3 & 4 Highly Commended:
Persie D – Made an excellent colourful mosaic plate.
Cassian W – A photographic collage, taking us from King’s Hawford old, to King’s Hawford new.
Sophia R – Wrote a lovely poem, encapsulating all that she loves about King’s Hawford.
Years 3 & 4 Winner:
Maddie P – combined painting, collage and a 3D picture which showed the fun side of King’s Hawford.
Years 5 & 6 Highly Commended:
Austin R – Created a shield showing his key interests of King’s Hawford.
Will G – Embraced our eco – status and sustainability in creating his own art on a a piece of wood.
Daisy E – Wrote a poem about King’s Hawford being its own little world and how perfect we are.
Years 5 & 6 Winner:
Louis Y – Showed off his engineering skills with a 3D model of milestones of King’s Hawford’s history.
All the entries were fantastic, and every child worked incredibly hard. We’re looking forward to proudly displaying their work around the school.
