This first week of term has been unusual in Pre-Prep, with Reception, Year One and Year Two taking a sudden change in how we would be doing things due to the new lockdown. All of the children have taken this change of direction in their stride and demonstrated amazing flexibility and resilience as they have gone back online with their learning.
Nursery came back as normal on Tuesday morning and it has been wonderful to hear all of their holiday news and witness their excitement at seeing their friends again, both in-person and remotely. On Wednesday, the children enjoyed going outside as it started snowing. They tried catching snowflakes both with their hands and on their tongues. It wasn’t as easy as it sounds! Also they had a lovely virtual Storytime with Mr Chapman. If you’d like to watch this again you can view it below.
Next week the children are starting their half term topic all about healthy eating. The children will be looking at fruit and vegetables, exercise, sleeping and keeping their teeth healthy. They are excited about finding out more about their senses and they are planning to have a pyjama party at the end of this half term!
We have been so proud of all of Pre-Prep this week and it has been wonderful to see the fantastic work they have been producing both at home and at school. They are listened so well in their lessons and have always come to their lessons with a big smile. Next week we will be hearing more about Reception’s new topic, focusing on dinosaurs!
