Making Waves: A Thrilling Year 5 & 6 Swimming Gala
On Thursday afternoon, we were delighted to host a fantastic Year 5 and 6 Swimming Gala, welcoming teams from King’s Hawford and RGS The Grange for an exciting afternoon of competition and camaraderie in the pool.
The gala featured a wonderful mix of individual and relay races, allowing every swimmer the opportunity to shine. From the first whistle to the final race, the atmosphere was electric, with pupils showing tremendous determination, team spirit, and sportsmanship throughout. Whether in the water or cheering from the poolside, the support for teammates was great to see.
Each race was hotly contested, and it was clear that all swimmers had given their absolute best, pushing themselves and encouraging one another with enthusiasm and positivity. The event was a fantastic showcase of resilience, skill, and healthy competition, and a great reminder of how sport brings pupils together.
A huge thank you to King’s Hawford and RGS The Grange for joining us and helping to make the event so enjoyable. We are also very grateful to everyone who came along to support – your encouragement and cheers added greatly to the atmosphere.
Well done to all our swimmers, we’re very proud of your efforts and look forward to more swimming galas.
