Musicians Shine at Final Informal Concert

The final Informal Concert of the year was held in the KSA Chapel on Tuesday afternoon. Throughout the year, these events have been a real highlight and everyone has loved gathering with tea and biscuits to relax and listen to music after a busy day.

We were entertained by over 20 pupils, who performed on a wide range of instruments including piano, clarinet, electric guitar and voice. We were treated to a variety of musical genres, including classical, pop, rock, traditional folk songs and songs from films and musicals. It was clear from the confidence of our musicians that everyone had worked very hard to prepare for the event. The standard of playing was incredibly high and everyone did themselves proud.

It was lovely to welcome two new performers to the Informal Concert family, as Nell (Y4) and Hugo(Y6) took to the stage for the first time in this concert series. You played beautifully – well done! Special mention must also go to Akshay (Y4), who dealt with a technical issue with great poise and professionalism.

Our boys and girls vocal groups brought the house down with their performances of ‘The Policeman’s Song’ (boys) and ‘Comedy Tonight’ (girls). Many thanks to Claire Prewer-Jenkinson for coaching these groups and accompanying them in the concert.

Finally, congratulations must go to all our musicians who have entertained us so brilliantly this year. Your progress throughout the year has been incredible to hear. It will be exciting to see where your musical journey takes you next!
