Nursery’s Out-of-This-World Week!
This week, Nursery children had an incredible time exploring their Space topic, with activities that were both engaging and out of this world!
The week began with a hands-on baking session, making delicious Space Rock Cakes. The children named all the ingredients needed, and excitement filled the air during a smell test where they unanimously decided that vanilla essence smells just like ice cream! Taking turns, they carefully weighed and mixed the ingredients before patiently waiting for their rock cakes to bake. The fun didn’t end there, once the cakes were ready, the children added the finishing touch: a sprinkle of space dust (edible glitter), creating a truly cosmic treat!
Later in the week, the space adventures continued with a special visit from Headmaster Mr. Hawker, who delighted the children with a reading of How to Catch a Star. The story captivated everyone, and afterward, the children had great fun zooming around like rockets, imagining how they might catch their very own stars.
