Poetic Fervour grips KSA

This week, the John Moore Theatre came alive with poetic fervour as pupils and teachers gathered for the eagerly anticipated King’s St Alban’s House Poetry Competition.

Children from Year Three to Year Six had been carefully chosen to represent their House by reciting a famous poem of their choice. All those taking part were brimming with pride and enthusiasm to compete for their House and performed brilliantly during their recital. The competition was adjudicated by Mr Low, Head of English at King’s School Worcester, who was immensely impressed by the children’s dedication in learning such a wide range of poems, as well as performing them so clearly and eloquently. After an incredibly close contest, with only seven points separating all of the Houses, the winning House was Thomas. Well done to all of the children who learned poems, supported their teammates, and made it such a positive experience for all.
