Potion Experiments and Scientific Fun in Pre-School

Our Pre-School children have had a fantastic time settling back into Nursery life. It has been wonderful to see them reconnect with friends, rediscover favourite activities, and embrace new opportunities to play and learn together.

This week, they have dived into some fun and fascinating STEM sessions, where the children took part in magical potion-making adventures! Using pipettes, they carefully transferred colourful liquids between containers, helping to strengthen their fine motor skills and coordination. The children were fully engaged as they explored colour mixing, making predictions about what would happen when different coloured liquids were combined.

They were delighted to observe the changes and reactions that occurred, especially when adding ingredients like washing-up liquid, which created bubbles and interesting textures. These hands-on experiences sparked lots of curiosity and conversation, encouraging the children to think like little scientists. It’s been a joyful and imaginative week full of learning, laughter, and discovery!
