Pre-Prep Sports Day 2018

It was lovely to see all of the Pre-Prep children and their families gather in the school fields on Friday afternoon for the Pre-Prep sports day. We could not have wished for better weather as the children geared up for an afternoon of racing.

For the first year, the children competed in their houses, Armstrong, Bailey, Thomas and Wilson and it was lovely to see the friendly competition. Children gave it their all in the running races, egg and spoon, field events and obstacle course. Reception ran as quickly as they could to dress a Year 2 in the dressing up race, Year One monkeyed around in the monkey race and Year Two worked their arms and legs as quickly as possible in the skipping race. All of the children displayed a fantastic growth mindset through their perseverance, concentration and team work.

It was lovely to see so many of the parents joining in with the parents’ race, probably the most competitive race of the afternoon! At the end of the day there could only be one winner though. Racing ahead in first place was Armstrong house. Well done to all of the children. We were very proud of you!
